I have worked with high-performing teams nearly my entire life and became overly focused on the team’s outcomes. My leadership approach was essentially the same for everyone; I had lost perspective on the fact that high-performing individuals are each motivated and empowered in different ways.
With my coach’s help, I gained a much deeper understanding of what motivates different individuals, how to meet them where they are and to provide the type of support they need.
Exponential Result’s model of using behavioral cues and measurable goals resonated really well with me. It helped to ensure I was focusing on the right things and allowed me to build lasting change.
The people I work with are now more empowered and encouraged to continue growing. I have moved past letting the results speak for themselves. I learned the importance of helping each individual find what drives them and what allows them to perform at their best.
